John Widdowson, son of Hull RUFC Coach, John Widdowson Snr, will be embarking on a truly amazing challenge with friends, family and colleagues to raise money for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and also Cyclists Fighting Cancer Charities.
John, who is 27 years of age and a father of two, was diagnosed in January 2011 with having a Non Hodgkin's Diffuse large B Cell Lymphoma, which is a form of blood cancer. He received chemotherapy treatment, lost all his hair and dropped 4 jean sizes but kept a smile on his face and is now in remission!
On Wednesday, 18 July 2012 a group of enthusiastic fundraisers will be setting off from Rosliston Forestry Centre, Burton on Trent, with the goal of reaching the Grand Palais on the Champs Elysees on Saturday, 21 July 2012, covering 350 miles in 4 days.
